Privacy policy

In short: Cocorico is used to manage your poultry farm. We keep your data to make the app work, and for nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads and we do not use any tracking tools.
1. Who are we?
Cocorico is a poultry farm management app, available as a web app and as an Android mobile app. It is published in Bamako, Mali.

2. The data we process

We do not collect your GPS location continuously, your contacts, your personal photos or any advertising ID.
3. Data about your farm's customers and staff
When you record a customer, an employee or a user, your farm decides what information it records. Please record only what is useful, and tell the people concerned. Cocorico keeps this data for your farm only: other farms never see it.
4. Mobile app permissions
- Internet and network status: sending your entries to the server, and knowing when you are offline so they can be kept and sent later.
- Camera: only to scan a QR code. No photo is taken or sent.
- Notifications: warning you about a farm alert, for example a vaccination due or low stock.
- Vibration: to go with these alerts.
When offline, your entries stay on the phone until they are sent to the server. They are deleted from the phone when you remove your account from the device.
5. Who can see your data?
- The people on your farm, according to the role the farm owner gives them. For example, a salesperson only sees what concerns sales.
- The Cocorico team, only for support, security and managing subscriptions.
- Our technical providers, only for what the service needs:
- Contabo: the server that hosts the app and the data;
- Google (Gmail): sending emails, for example login details, reminders and the Monday summary;
- Open-Meteo: the weather, which receives only the farm's location, without your name;
- OpenStreetMap: the maps shown in the web app;
- payment operators (Mobile Money, card) when you pay for your subscription.
- The authorities, only if the law requires us to.
We never sell, rent or exchange your data.
6. Security
- Exchanges between the app and the server are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored encrypted: nobody can read them, not even the Cocorico team.
- Each farm sees only its own data.
- Regular backups protect the data against loss.
7. How long we keep your data
- As long as your account exists, so that you keep your farm's history.
- After a deletion request, the data is deleted within 30 days. Backup copies are then deleted as they are renewed.
- Subscription payment information may be kept longer if the law requires it for accounting.
8. Deleting your account or your data
You can ask at any time for your account and your farm's data to be deleted:
- Write to us on WhatsApp at +223 83 91 86 99 or by email at contact.cocorico.ml@gmail.com, from the phone number or email address of your account.
- Give the name of your farm and your username.
- We confirm your request, then we delete the account and the data within 30 days.
The farm owner can also delete the account of a user of the farm themselves, on the Users page.
9. Your rights
Under Malian Law No. 2013-015 of 21 May 2013 on the protection of personal data, you can:
- know what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- have wrong data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to a processing, for example stop receiving the Monday summary (Settings in the web app).
To do this, contact us using the details in part 1. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact Mali's Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP).
10. Age
Cocorico is a professional tool for adults. It is not meant for children under 18.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page. If there is an important change, we let you know in the app or by email.
